This global report authored by the International Resource Panel Cities Working Group highlights the important issue of inequitable resource distribution and a serious lack of critical resources to provide basic services in cities by 2050.

A regional report  entitled Sustainable Urban Infrastructure Transitions in the ASEAN Region has been developed based on the global findings of The Weight of Cities by taking into account the unique population, economic, infrastructure, socio-cultural and governance contexts of the cities in Southeast Asia (focusing on members of the ASEAN).
